We have been discussing how kindness makes others feel good and in turn, makes us feel good too. We are filling our class bucket with kind acts and thinking about ways we can be kind to friends, siblings, parents, grandparents, teachers, pets etc.
Here are some of the children's suggestions:
when someone falls, help them up
when someone is alone, ask them to play
when your parents are busy, ask if you can help
help with your little brother/sister
give hugs and snuggles
share your toys with your brother/sister
tell your friend they look nice
give someone a bandaid if they hurt themselves
make a gift for your friend
when someone spills something, help them clean it up
clean up your room and surprise your mom and dad
smile at people
let your friend go first
make cookies for your friend
tell your grandma/grandpa that you love them
help clean up
say nice words to people
when someone is feeling down, think of ways to pick them up
Pretty smart children!!!!
Try to tune into the kind things you see people doing and draw your child's attention to these words and actions. Let them know the impact their kindness can have on the world.
